INGREDIENTS LIST FOR THE STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE MOUSSE

  • 12 ounces (340 grams) of room-temperature softened cream cheese
  • One cup of heavy cream
  • Natural sweetener (sugar if you’re not keto, stevia, or swerve) to taste
  • One teaspoon of finely chopped lime zest (or a few drops of extractive vanilla)
  • Cut strawberries as a garnish
  • Blueberries as a garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Using a hand mixer, beat cream cheese in a large bowl until it becomes light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla extract or lime zest and natural sweetener until well mixed.
  2. Beat the whipped cream and a dash of salt in a another bowl until it becomes frothy. The whipped cream should be gently folded into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Line the bottom of dessert cups with the cream cheese mixture using a pipe or spoon. Top with a layer of sliced strawberries. Continue filling the dessert cups by alternating the layers.
  4. Garnish the top of the strawberry cheesecake mousse with the remaining strawberry slices and blueberries. Put in the fridge for one hour or overnight, or until thickened, and then remove when ready to serve. Have fun!

Presentation suggestion:

  • You can make a variety of original designs for a patriotic appeal when adorning these strawberry cheesecake mousse treats with fruit. You may choose to design the traditional American flag, for instance, with strawberries sliced into matchstick stripes and blueberries in the corner. Alternatively, as we did in the photos, you can use a mixture of strawberries and blueberries to form a star on top of the dish.
When it comes time to serve your dessert, garnishing it with sparklers is a terrific way to make a statement and dress it up. Let’s sing Happy Birthday to the United States and light the sparklers!
