INGREDIENTS LIST FOR THE GARLIC PARMESAN ROASTED GREEN BEANS
- One pound, or four hundred fifty gramsClean, clipped, and ideally stringless fresh green beans
- Half a cup of softened unsalted butter
- six big garlic cloves, chopped or minced finely
- One teaspoon each of freshly cracked black pepper and salt, or to taste
- One spoonful of seasoning from Italy
- Grated Parmesan cheese, fresh, 3/4 cup to 1 cup
- Chopped parsley fresh for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- To prepare your green beans with roasted garlic and parmesan: Set the oven to 400°F, or 200°C.
- Put the fresh green beans, butter, parmesan, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning in a big bowl and mix everything together.
- Arrange the ready-made green beans onto a roasting tray. Stir the green beans halfway through and roast for 15 to 20 minutes, until they are crisp-tender. Take the baked parmesan green beans out of the oven, place them on a platter, and serve right away, topped with freshly cut parsley. Have fun!
Observations:
Green beans can be precooked in the microwave for five minutes with one cup of water. They can then be soaked in ice water and combined with butter, garlic, and parmesan cheese to make them more tender.
Since parmesan is naturally salty, start with a small amount of salt and taste as you go to adjust the seasoning to your preferred level.
Use up to 1 cup of parmesan if you like your green beans to have an especially crispy coating.
