For the first minute or two, do not stir the steak bites; instead, let them sear well in the skillet. For these steak pieces, a cast-iron skillet works best because it distributes heat evenly and may get very hot!
To brown the steak and prevent burning of the butter and garlic that you will add later, cook it first in a small amount of olive oil. Pour in the olive oil into a Put a big skillet over high heat. Before adding the steak pieces, make sure the olive oil is heated. Add a large amount of salt and pepper to them.
DIRECTIONS
- To make the recipe for garlic butter steak bites: Add the steak bites to a mixing bowl along with the marinade ingredients (olive oil, spicy sauce, pepper, and lemon juice) and soy sauce. While assembling the other ingredients, thoroughly combine and let marinate for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
- In a large skillet set over high heat, warm the olive oil. Eliminate the marinade from the steak bits. Save the leftover marinade for another time.
- Arrange the steak pieces in a single layer within the skillet. Depending on the size of your skillet, you might need to work in batches since if you overcrowd it, the meat will steam. Once the steak bites are golden brown, cook them for three to four minutes while stirring them now and then. If necessary, repeat with the remaining steak bites.
- After every steak bite has turned golden brown, add 2 tablespoons of butter and the garlic to the skillet. Cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes to coat the meat with sauce. Take out the steak bites and place them on a dish that is shallow.
- Place the remaining marinade liquids, butter, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and beef broth in the same skillet. After bringing to a simmer, lower for two to three minutes, stirring often.
- Toss in the spiralized zucchini noodles and cook for an additional two to three minutes. If the zucchini noodles render too much water, stir in the fresh parsley and thyme and let the cooking fluids decrease for a minute. After pushing the zucchini noodles aside, return the steak bites to the pan and reheat them for an additional minute. Serve the zucchini noodles and steak bits with garlic butter right away. Have fun!
TIPS FOR THE STEAK BITES RECIPE
- If preferred, you can use tenderloin, rib eye, flank, or strip steak.
- Since spiralized zucchini noodles tend to release a lot of water during cooking, you can sprinkle them with salt afterward and let them sit for a few minutes to remove any remaining water. Before cooking, give it a thorough rinse to remove any salt and then drain well in a colander.
- Use dry white wine to add flavor to the dish instead of broth.
