INGREDIENTS LIST FOR THE CROCKPOT CREAMY GARLIC PORK LOIN
- One 1-pound pork tenderloin or two 1-pound center-cut boneless pig loins weigh 2.10 kg each.
- freshly ground black pepper and kosher salt
- One tsp of smoky paprika
- Half a teaspoon of red chili pepper flakes, crushed
- A single tsp of dried thyme
- four minced and peeled garlic cloves
- two finely chopped shallots
- 1/4 cup of vegetable or olive oil
- 1/4 cup white wine, plus a little extra for the pan to deglaze
- Half a cup of chicken stock or broth
- Half a cup of heavy cream
- One tablespoon of cornstarch, if desired
- Three fresh sage leaves—two for garnish and one for cooking—
DIRECTIONS
1. Use salt, pepper, and paprika to season the pork loin on all sides (you can score the fat for a prettier look). In a large Dutch oven or skillet, heat the oil with a sage leaf over medium-high heat. Place the pork loin in a slow cooker or crockpot after adding it to the skillet and sautéing it for about five minutes on each side.
2. Add the wine, chicken stock, shallots, garlic, thyme, and crushed chili pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Once the pork is cooked through, cook it covered for 4–5 hours on high or 6–8 hours on low. Take the pork out of the slow cooker, cover, and maintain the heat.
- Combine cornstarch and heavy cream in a small bowl. Replace the cover after stirring in the cooking liquids from the slow cooker. Simmer for a further ten to fifteen minutes on high heat, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Slice the pork loin in the meantime. After that, put the cut pork loin in the slow cooker and let it warm for a short while. Serve this delectable slow cooker creamy garlic pork loin with the cream sauce right away over rice, spaghetti, or any other veggie. Garnish with sage leaves.
Note: Before serving, be sure to taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper. The amount required could vary based on how salty your broth is.
