INGREDIENTS LIST FOR THE CAULIFLOWER PARMESAN RECIPE

  • One head of cauliflower, thinly chopped into steaks measuring one inch
  • Two tablespoons of pure olive oil
  • Half a teaspoon each of freshly ground black pepper and kosher salt
  • One tsp of Italian spice
  • One cup marinara sauce (we used)
  • 1/4 cup of recently grated Parmesan cheese, split
  • One cup of finely shredded mozzarella cheese
  • One tablespoon of finely chopped basil
  • Crushed red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon

HOW TO MAKE THE CAULIFLOWER PARMESAN

To ensure that the cauliflower head can accommodate a generous amount of sauce and cheese, it is crucial to chop it into thick slices for this baked cauliflower parmesan recipe. You can usually get three or four fairly well-kept steaks out of a whole cauliflower head.

We first slice the cauliflower into thick slices, then we season them with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. We next sprinkle them with olive oil and roast them. This permits the cauliflower to obtain crispy edges and a hint of browning.

Next, we place mozzarella, parmesan, and marinara on top of the cauliflower and broil it until it becomes bubbling.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Prepare the steaks with cauliflower and parmesan: Set the oven temperature to 425°F (225ºC). Place the cauliflower slices in a single layer on a baking sheet with a rim, then drizzle with olive oil on both sides. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper for seasoning.
  2. Roast the cauliflower steaks for 30 to 35 minutes, rotating them once, or until the cauliflower is soft and golden. After taking the cauliflower out of the oven, drizzle marinara sauce over each steak. Add half of the Parmesan and mozzarella shreds.
  3. Turn the oven to broil and broil the cauliflower steaks for about three minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden. Sprinkle chopped basil leaves, red pepper flakes, and the leftover Parmesan cheese on top of the roasted cauliflower parmesan. Have fun! ❤️

TIPS FOR THE ROASTED CAULIFLOWER PARMESAN RECIPE

  • You can also use fresh mozzarella slices in place of the shredded cheese.
